Room Tour x Winter in Perth

Hello, it's time to blog again! :)

Decided to do a little room tour because I'm liking how my room is right now and honestly, I'll definitely miss it after returning back to Malaysia. :(

Tried to keep things minimal as possible, don't want to over decorate and not able to bring them back with me next year.

Okay, this is basically what my room looks like once you enter,
You can see my bed and the bed side table like everyone's room normally has. :P

There is no specific theme for the room but obviously the color I emphasized on is Magenta/Purple and White. :)
Oh, and I got the Marilyn Monroe poster from my Uni for $10 ! :D

My bedside table I got from Super A Mart for $9! What a bargain! :D
And the little box is from The Reject Shop for $5-10? I forgot!
I put lecture notes and text books in it.

Moving on to the table,
This bird hanger where I put all my accessories, I got from The Reject Shop for $10-15?
Love it a lot and how handy it is to hang my accessories on them! :)

My little essence corner, both oil essence and the candle jar from The Reject Shop;
Both add together less than $10?
Body butter I got from Target and it really smells like strawberries and milkshakes! :D
(Just realize most of my stuff are from The Reject Shop, bear with me! :P)

My jewelry boxes I got from Miri,
I used them to put my necklaces and the smaller ones is where I put my ear rings,
Got them from Super Save! Forgot how much though but I'm pretty sure both adds up less than RM20

My purple lamp shade that matches my bed! $9 from Kmart!

My current bed:
Quilt cover from Kmart - $24
Grey color Bed Sheet from Ikea - $12
Pillows and blanket from The Reject Shop - Dont remember how much !

The corner of my room,
there a mirror given for this room but the bottom part is cracked so I didn't bother taking a photo of it.
Got shelf from The Reject Shop for $15?
Used it to store my pjs and gym clothes on the bottom shelf,
shorts, skirts and jeans on the second,

eye shadow palettes, cotton buds and perfumes on the top shelf,

And lastly cosmetics and skincare on the top,
that I used as a vanity table.

The other side of the room and my window.
The clothes hanger I bought from Kmart for $19,
where I normally put my towel and clothes that I wanted to wear again,
Laundry basket from Kmart as well.

And my other side of the room,
Ignore the jeans and my gym bag. Haha!
Moving on to the closet,
My closet is the door with my gym bag,

 Inside my closet!
So this is how my wardrobe looks like,

Notice the pink thing hanging around there?
I got it from The Reject Shop,
Dont remember how much but it's actually used to store shoes,
I make use it to store underwear, bras, socks, and whatnot.

On the right side of my wardrobe,
Scarfs, sweaters, tops and dresses in the end

Left side are all my outer wear, coats, jackets, cardigans.
Yea, lots of black because it's easier to match!

The top of my closet is where I store my bags.

Bottom is just my luggage which has a luggage in it,
if you know what I mean,
And I have also store some of my summer clothes in my luggage since I don't have the chance to wear them anytime soon. :(
Note to self: Stop buying clothes!
Oh and btw, we don't practice wearing shoes in the house so my shoes are all downstairs in the shoe closet with everyone else's! :)
The plastic bag is just used plastic bags that I collect and put them in together,
The storage boxes are from Target,
I store miscellaneous stuff like sanitary pads, face masks, medicines, etc.

Lastly,
Moving on to my working space :)
The table was build in and the little table underneath is included in the room
where I have all the chargers placed there,
paper and past lecture notes at the bottom.
Got my laser printer from Office Works for $49?

My 'notice board' that I double taped from hard cardboard I got from my uni's bookshop,
normally put important notes and timetable and photos on it using thumb tacks.

So yeah, that is about it!
If you're reading this,
you have just virtually invaded into my room! :P

Btw, I tidied my room before taking these photos so pls dont assume that I'm a neat freak or anything.
Teehee! :P

Annnd,
I tried my best searching high and low for cheap bargains on furniture and what not
So thats one of the reasons why most of them are from The Reject Shop,
BUT!
Don't judge these rejected stuff!
The quality is quite good and cheap,
affordable for poor students like me :P

Kinda like decorating rooms from time to time.
Can't wait to decorate my future room,
(still not sure where I'm heading after uni)

But still looking forward! :)

p.s.
I will be selling some of my stuff beginning of next year because I don't think I can bring everything back home so if anyone is interested, stay tune! :)

Blog much soon!

Rottnest Island x Western Australia

Heeeello, after completed watching all the HK dramas that I had put on hold since exam period, I decided to come blog again. :) #efficientbloggerinthemaking #shameless

Anyway, Ah Yii flew over from Brisbane last week and we took her a tour around Perth. Decided to go for a day trip to Rottnest Island for the view and scenery while cycling around the island! Sounds fun ei? Technically it was fun, apart from the cycling under rain and shine, got a little lost, watching your friend fall from his bike and cycling on multiple hills along the whole cycling journey. -.- Overall, it was still fun though! :D

We woke up early to catch the earliest ferry at about 9-ish from Fremantle. It was roughly a 30 minutes ferry ride to the island and it costs us about $100 per person through and flow including the rent for bicycles. Quite pricey but it was worth the pretty view they had in Rottnest.

Upon reaching the island, everyone automatically lined up to collect their bicycles. Apparently all bicycles are identical and can be adjusted so no worries for height issues! (I was a bit worried about it at first!)

At the port, don't you just love the sea? It's literally turquoise in color!!

We left the port with our bicycles and settled down with the island's map before we made our move. According to Papa, once you cycle deep into the island, no matter what you have to continue cycling because turning back will be more time consuming, and we also had limited time since the last boat will be leaving at 4pm or else we have to stay a night in Rottnest Island. Which.... none of us want since we was told that it was unsafe to stay overnight. :\ What a way to motivate us to cycle?!

So we started our journey together, it was the five of us, Me, Vivien, Ah Yii, Bryan and Papa!  At first I was not used with the bicycle because its been God-knows-how-long since I actually ride on a bike. Thank God I got the hang of it and manage to keep up. :D

We look so KOREAN in our bicycles! Hahahahah! :D :D

Okay, so we started our journey when everyone was ahead of us except me and Vivien. HAHAHA!

You see? Still sempat take a pic :P
Who am I kidding, this cycling this is not as easy as it looks!
Just look at the road plsss.

This is the view that I have been constantly seeing for the whole day while cycling.
NEVER ENDING I tell you!

First Stop!

Can you see how the clouds started to turn dark? Yeah, I'll get that back to you later. -.-

 Spot the sinking anchor?
Papa told us that he once swam over to take a look at it. It was all rusty underneath.

Mind me, got a little carried away with the beautiful view ! :P

It was sort of our pit stop, we had our homemade sandwiches after taking photos. :)

Continued cycling until we decided to split up and meet at the ending point.
Papa and Vivien was left behind because Vivien wanted to rest and the rest of us continue our way to the lighthouse!

Kept spotting on the lighthouse from a far distance but we never seem to reach it until like finally, I was this close to the lighthouse. -.-

&&& we had to climb up a really big hill to actually come this close!

Yay! We the champions! HAHAHA! :D

I remember there were 2 routes that we can choose to go, either the long or short way.
Honestly wanted to go the long way but we couldnt find the way so we ended up with the shorter route.

After the lighthouse, there was a path filled with hills and I swear I almost died. -.-

But its worth it after arriving to this amazing view!

The water is so clear that we can deliberately see the reflection!

Oh, and yes, this was one of the highlight of the whole journey:
Bryan was holding his DSLR to take photos while riding on his bike,
until there was a downhill slope which was quite steep,
he lost control and fell flat!

Thank God nothing's wrong with the camera, was his first reaction. Hahaha!
Lucky guy was wearing his helmet, minor injury on the hand and leg.

See, no worries, still can smile to the camera! HAHAH! :P

Another note, Rottnest was actually named after Rat Nest,
which explains this little rascal running around the island.
It's called a quokka, and it's not shy or afraid of people.
Instead, they approach to people for food. lol!

We carried on cycling until we reach to a bay with an awesome view,
I had to take a panaroma picture! :D

 Spot Bryan!

We ride all the way only to realize that the ending point wasn't even far away.
So we decided to make a U turn and explorer the windmill!

Turns out there wasnt anything interesting so we stopped and took photos!

Even sat on the road and take a photo. #crazy HAHAHA! :P

Meet up with Vivien and Papa at the ending point, and was in time to catch the last boat back to Fremantle. Everyone was exhausted and called it a day!
Great experience, great view and great company!
But honestly,
I'm quite impressed with myself and was able to make it through despite I am not an outdoor type of person! :P

Okay, this marks the end of my post. *cracks neck

Blog much more soon!
