Jacket Weather x LGBT Rights

I know I haven't been the most efficient person ever, probably never have been :P

Been busy and lazy at the same time, struggling with major assignments and who knows final week of the semester happens to be next week? :O :O  Sighhh, time flies so damn fast I can hardly catch up :( Btw, its jacket weather at the moment, I can't tell if its autumn or winter, but we get the weirdest weather here in Perth. Thinking of what to wear has always been an issue here and I always need to check the weather before putting anything on. :P

Today's weather is so cold that I had to constantly turn on and off the heater because I can't tell whether its too hot or too cold. Omg, dilemma. -.-

Anyway, just thought about blogging random stuff because I didn't really have much to blog about anyway. :P

Been working on my last group assignment for next week's presentation regarding on the Gay Pride Parade celebrated by countries across the world.

Never knew Australia is one of the most supportive countries on LGBT rights! In case you don't know what it means, LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. Initially, I was never a fan talking about this topic, its rather sensitive and I have no right to judge. :|

Coming from a conservative country, and a rather traditional family background, I always assume that they have issues on identifying what they want in life. But after numerous episodes of Glee, in depth research on this assignment, I come to realize that I should never judge them just because they love differently. :)

In fact, I feel sorry for them as they constantly receive criticisms, abuse and rejections from communities around the world. However, they were able to make it through, trying hard to make a difference, standing up towards what they believe and slowly changes perceptions of the public including me. :)

Keep up the good work and continue with what you believe in! ;)

Signing off because I should really carry on with my last assignment! Can't believe final exam is in 3 weeks! :O :O

Twentyone x Birthday 2013

Hello, blogging from my new iPad mini that Mum got me for my 21st! Yay, thanks mum! :)

Anyway, few days back was my birthday and I still can't believe that I'm actually turning twentyone. To be honest, I wasn't really excited turning twenty one. I feel old. -.-

&&& they say once you turn 21, 30 is just a mile stone away. Omg.

So anyway, gonna blog about my birthday. It was rather simple really. Ming visited for a week and that was the first time I went around Perth with public transport. Omg, I feel so independent now hahaha! But will blog more into depth on that much much later.

The last night before Ming was leaving, we had a simple dinner that Da Fu introduced which was somewhere near Mill Point. He lend us his car and we had the GPS to navigate us the way.

We had dinner at The Bellhouse Cafe with a great view of the city. Simple and nice dinner was just what we need after a long time. :)

The food was great, I had lamb shank while Ming had their homemade gnocchi.

Oh, and we had Turkish bread as appetisers, tasted a bit weird but acceptable. Hehe.

After that we just went strolling around and enjoyed the view of the city.

That was practically it for the night. :)

It was an emotional and a devastated night for the both of us that night, we were both reluctant and did not want to say goodbye the next day. :(

On the happier note, on my birthday itself,

Spend the whole day at home cramming with assignments, procrastinating at the same time. As usual. :p

At night, went out with the housemates and I wanted to try out the sushi in Perth. After looking at reviews and we decided to go to Mr.Munchies to try out their sushi rolls.

They tasted all really good, but they seems a little bit westernised.

The last order of sushi roll was customised by me. Tee hee! Tasted not bad! :D

It was raining cat and dogs outside and we wanted to get something to drink before we head home. End up going home because of the crazy weather.

Went home and got changed into pyjamas and got surprised by the lovely housemates! They got me a blueberry strudel as my 21st cake and a pink jacket from Hollister.

Thanks so much guys for everything. The dinner, cake and the present. I appreciate it and the effort you guys have put in. :)

So that is about it from my birthday. Will blog again much soon!

Malaysian General Election x 05.05.2013

I'm not a fan of politics but it's like a social trend nowadays, my Facebook feed is literally filled with people trending and talking about the general election that is actually finally held today.

I usually won't give much comment, not because I don't care about the country, I guess one point is I'm not entirely legal to cast any votes so no point fussing on who wins or loses. :\ But after looking at the news spread all over the internet, makes me wonder if these rumors are actually true?

Is it true that the government escorted people outside our country to cast free votes for the government? I can't believe that they were that desperate. So desperate that they need to recruit people from Bangladesh. -.- Seriously? Where did our country's democracy went to?

Truly disappointed to see how our country had turned out to be. Playing childish tricks just to win is not the way to go. It's not only making us residents lose even more faith towards the government, but also makes our country a laughing stock to other countries that sees us.

Anyway, it seems that they are starting to count the votes cast by people today. Hopefully there is a change after today. Like it or not who ever wins, there better be a change.

Most importantly,

Make peace and not war!

Looking at the past Bersih rally breaks my heart, why is there a need to have a big riot that ends up killing people?
What is the point?

The country I was born on is in such a mess!

Let's just hope for the best!
