Brighton Beach, Melbourne

Hello!
Its the weekend so it's time blog again.
Trying to keep up with this habit :)

Anyway,
I haven't really have much to blog about
so I thought maybe I should blog about my trip to Melbourne after graduation.

***

Brighton Beach, Melbourne Vic

Basically it was my second time to Melbourne but
I didnt get to visit the very famous Brighton Beach during my first time round.

Heard a lot about the beach so I made my cousin drive me and mum all the way to go visit

I remember it was about 8 pm that we went and it was still sunny,
FYI Melbourne is 3 hours ahead of Malaysia
so normally during summer, the sun sets quite late
Imagine going to sleep at 9pm and the sun only starts to set (what?)

We purposely went late to catch the sunset
but it was so cold that day
so we kinda took a few photos and left after that

The beauty of this beach is obviously the colorful beach houses
I initially thought there were a few but
I was surprise to see so many of them,

There were tourist people, families and even couple taking wedding photos
posing in front of their favorite color beach house
Honestly, me and mum had a hard time choosing because
there were all so pretty!

According to my cousin,
these beach houses went way back in the early years
they decided to preserve it and painted it in bright colors

Got Android sign some more,
canggih or not?

With my cousin Jeff!
Thanks for taking us over here
even though you don't find it interesting with these houses
haha!

Mummy posing with her favorite beach house

If you're a fan of pretty pictures and colors like me,
definitely a nice place to visit when you're in Melbourne

Looking at all of this pictures
makes me wanna go travel again :(
*scratches itchy legs

But ever since I started working,
travelling will have to wait

Till then!

Signing off,

The Fault In Our Stars

Hello weekend!
Wanted to go out and not waste my Saturday until the rain started pouring like cray,
Okay maybe its a sign to stay at home for the day.

Been thinking all week what should I blog about because
I havent been doing anything interesting to begin with. D:

Then it hit me!
I havent been reading for God knows how long
so I thought I should really pick up back this old habit of mine
I bought a few books back and everyone has been telling me
"YOU MUST READ TFIOS!"

So I just finish reading TFIOS and it is such a good read!
Okay, call it mainstream because everyone is practically raving over the book
but it is seriously a good book for me :)

***
MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!

Ok, I will try my best to keep the story as brief as possible because
reading the book itself  is soo much better pls!

The story just talks about two young people falling in love with each other
but at the same time they were battling against cancer
Very cliche kind of love story
where its more like love at first sight
but I'm a sucker for that
(dont judge pls)

The chemistry between Hazel and Augustus
was sort of described on how falling in love for the first time felt like
And who can get over Gus's charms?

Sadly, there was a twist in the story,
to be honest,
I knew it was not going to be a very good ending,
sort of like Romeo and Juliet,
someone eventually has to leave

but the book described the ending in a peaceful manner
with no particular conclusion,
similar to how An Imperial Affliction (Hazel's favourite book) was written

It leaves us readers with lots of questions to wonder,
but also realize the determination and strength
that cancer patients are going through,
its not all sad and pitiful,
they too have a life to live,
they too have a chance to fall in love

And no matter what happens,
Everything will be
Gus: Okay?
Hazel: Okay

***
Because its such a good book
they are making a movie out of it
(I told you its a good book!)

Heard it's going to be available in June or something
but I cant wait to go watch,
and probably cry during the entire movie
T_____T

Been listening to the soundtracks on Youtube
and I already can imagine which song will be played on which scene
AHHHH!!!

Here are my top favourites!

Ed Sheeran: All of the Stars

Birdy: Tee Shirt

Kodaline: All I Want

Basically all three good combinations of songs right?
Read the book and you'll know what I mean!

:)

Happy Saturday y'all!

Happy Mother's Day!

Ever since I moved to KL for work, I havent been using my laptop because I have a work laptop which I use for work and I normally hate turning on the computer during the weekends. Normally I just used my mini Ipad to get updated then go to sleep after that.

Since today is a public holiday and I just wanna laze around at home, I decided to turn on my laptop and thought, hey why not I blog??

Thus I start thinking what should I blog about since theres nothing much interesting happened in my life lately.

Until I thought maybe its time I dedicate a post for my mum since its Mother's Day.

Well technically Mother's Day was on Sunday so I'm sort of late but hey,

Better late than never right? :P

Dear Mom,

I know I havent been the bestest daughter,

or the ideal daughter that you would thought you had raised.

But I'd like to thank you

for not giving up on me,

support me in whatever shit I tend to get myself into,

before scolding or nag on me,

you will always find a solution to try and fix things first.

I used to be such a rebel,
I remember blogging about my fights with mum
and it sort of break every pieces of her heart after reading it.
Those words are so painful to read,
I feel awful not able to take it back. :(

As time goes by,

I'm getting a year older,

I slowly understand how tough it is in life

and how much you had sacrificed to keep this family in one piece.

I know words can never describe
how much you have done for me and my brothers,

but I am truly blessed

to have you as my mother. :)

Love you Mom

For my case,

I am quite lucky

because I was brought up with not only one

but two moms!

For my Fairy God Mama,

when I was young,
I always wondered why I had to call my cousin's Mum,
 'Mama'

Well it sort of took me a while to realize

and it's not everyday you can have two moms right? :)

Thank you Mama,

for treating me like your own daughter,
care for me on whatever decisions I make in life,
visit me when I was studying in Perth,
cook nice food for me although you asked me to go on a diet (lol!)

and make sure that I'm living life comfortably.

The thing about our Chinese culture is our elders takes extra care of us children,
from before learning how to walk
until we are able to run so fast,
they kinda lost track of coping up.

So, take a time and think about it,
give a call to your Mom and let them know you love her,
it might sound cheesy,
but it will definitely brighten up her day!

To Mum, Mama, Popo,
all my aunts across the globe,
Ming's mum as well as
all the Mums and Mums-to-be

Happy Mother's Day!

with love,

x
